Interior Design Q&A: Paint Color for Kitchen
June 20, 2016 | 5:13 pmQ. In my kitchen I have stark white cabinets, a black and white tiled floor, and absolute black granite countertops. The appliances are stainless steel. What wall color would you suggest? Would a pale yellow look okay? I would like to add some color and have no idea what would look good. Thanks!!
A. You may want to consider a brighter yellow for your wall color. Against the black and white a pale yellow could get lost. Depending on the mood you are trying to set in your kitchen (light, airy, open, warm, sophisticated, traditional, etc.) you may want to choose different colors. A warm color could work best to balance the cool stainless steel. If you are looking for more of a contemporary style, you could consider a fire engine red or lime green.
