Q.  I am going to paint my son’s bedroom and do not know what color to use. The carpeting is a dark green burbur. Can you help me?

A. You could start by looking at the different things your son enjoys and see if you can come up with a theme. Whether it is a certain sports team or a favorite place, you might begin with that as an inspiration for your color scheme. If the dark green does not tie in with your theme, you always have the option of using an area rug to distract from the green in your existing carpet.
